Seen ZZ many times, always loved their music, even their early stuff. Went with best friend, who didnt know all their music, but had a blast. Gretchen Wilson rocked and Three Doors Down was awesome.

Orpheum Theatre
By Peggy from Twin Cities, Minnesota on 10/18/2008
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Encores, Perfect Set List
Cons:
Poor Sound Quality
Best For:
Everyone

Warm up band - Blackberry Smoke was good. I (casual fan) who went with my husband (die hard fan) didn't recognize most of the songs in the first half of this show. But the last half was all familiar classic favorites. I also thought the sound mix was poor but no one else in the theater seemed to mind. The crowd was very into it and overall it was a very fun and entertaining show.

ZZ Top Concert Tickets

To some, they may be best known for their iconic facial hair, but to others ZZ Top is among the most important bands in rock history. Originating from Houston, Texas, the famous trio has been churning out hits for decades, and anybody who purchases ZZ Top tickets will be treated to one of the best shows around.

ZZ Top can trace its roots to 1969, when Billy Gibbons enlisted the help of Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard (who ironically doesn't have one). The newly-formed band got off to a fast start and in 1971 the trio released their debut record, the aptly-titled ZZ Top's First Album. A moderate hit, the debut was a sure sign of things to come. From the beginning ZZ Top plated with greats like Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Humble Pie and Blue Öyster Cult.

ZZ Top really came into its own in the 1970s, with catchy, bluesy tracks like "La Grange" and "Tush" making their way to the radio. The era saw the band join foces on stage with King Crimson and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Into the '80s, Gibbons, Hill and Beard continued their successful streak thanks to songs like "Sharp Dressed Man" and "Dark Sunglasses." Throughout the 80s ZZ Top toured and played with Van Halen, Bon Jovi and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

Though they've been together well over 30 years, ZZ Top has not slowed down. The trio continues to put on a great show, and as their 2003 album Mescalero shows, they still have talent. Audiences praise the band’s live performances calling them “perfection” and shouting “awesome!” Don’t pass up your chance to see a consistent classic; grab your ZZ Top concert tickets today!
