Young the Giant Tickets
With lead singer Sameer Gadhia at the helm, Young the Giant quickly rose from a little known alternative rock band to a radio fixture. The group has overcome a lot of adversity but still managed to attract a loyal following that scrambles to pick up Young the Giant tickets wherever they go.

Originally formed in 2004 under the name The Jakes, despite some lineup changes during the early year, the indie rock got their first big break when they released their debut EP in 2008. Encouraged by the warm response Gadhia and the rest of the band decided to put their focus squarely on making it big; which they certainly did. Young the Giant's self-titled full-length debut hit shelves in 2010 and was an immediate success. Thanks in large part to the popularity of the singles "My Body" and "Cough Syrup," Young the Giant began performing all over the country. In 2011, they toured with alternative rock legends Incubus, and even took to the main stage that Lollalpalooza, each a sign of good things to come for the California-based quintet.

Young the Giant Biography
Formerly known as the Jakes, Young the Giant began making eclectic indie rock in Irvine, CA, where bandmates Sameer Gadhia (vocals), Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar), Payam Doostzadeh (bass), and Francois Comtois (drummer) all met each other during high school. Following graduation, the guys ditched their respective bands and formed their own outfit, drawing upon their European and Middle Eastern roots to forge a worldly, summery sound. Although the boys left Orange County shortly thereafter to attend different colleges, they continued making music together, eventually deciding to put school on hold and focus on the group instead. The decision wasnt in vain by early 2009, they were opening for Kings of Leon and playing shows at South by Southwest. Several months later, they were signed to Roadrunner Records.

The Jakes changed their names in January 2010 and began working on an album with producer Joe Chiccarelli, tracking most of the songs at Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles. Featuring cameos by My Morning Jackets Bo Koster and Jellyfishs Roger Manning, the self-titled debut was released later that year. ~ Andrew Leahey, Rovi
