Yonder Mountain Spring Band Concert Tickets

Going to college offers newly minted adults a chance to find their voice, make lasting friendships and learn what they'd like to do with their lives. For a few members of the Yonder Mountain Spring Band, playing unique instruments helped forge their relationship and their group.

The group's banjo player Dave Johnston met mandolin player Jeff Austin at college in Illinois before the duo moved to Nederland, CO, and found the remaining members of their band - base player Ben Kaufmann and guitarist Adam Aijala.

Yonder Mountain String Band was up and running by 1998, gaining a fan base through various club and bar appearances throughout Colorado. In 1999, the group dropped its debut album Elevation on their own label, Frog Pad Records. Over the next few years, the group continued to tour and release live albums that catered to their fans, who preferred getting Yonder Mountain String Band tickets to hear them in action.

The band released its fifth live album, Mount Tracks, Vol. 5 in April 2008 and a follow up CD The Show, in 2009.
