Wye Oak Concert Tickets

Wye Oak is an indie rock band from Baltimore, Maryland. The group, which is composed of Jenn Wasner (vocals, guitar and bass) and Andy Stack (drums, keyboard and singing backup vocals), independently released it’s first record, If Children, in 2007 but signed with Merge Records shortly thereafter in 2008. The group is often lauded for its diverse sound, which includes aspects of rock, dream pop, folk and noise rock. Buy your Wye Oak tickets today to experience this unique sound for yourself.

After signing with Merge, Wye Oak went on to release three albums in three years. The group put out The Knot in 2009, the EP My Neighbor/My Creator in 2010 and the full-length Civilian in 2011. Civilian was also released in Europe via City Slang Records. The group then toured and took a break from production until the release of its 2014 album Shriek, also on Merge. On it’s website, the band has described the album as a “culmination of their intent to express the emotional and intuitive self by acting out animalistic exclamations through cathartic release.” Though the two members have spent most of their lives in Baltimore, they now live on opposite sides of the country and work from a distance.
