So disappointing
By Brutally Honest from Knoxville, TN on 7/21/2014
Pros:
Alison Krauss Etc Great, Great Opening Acts
Cons:
Couldn't Hear Bass Player, Crowd Was Not Into It, Harmonica Too Loud, No Beer Sales, No Harmony Singers, No Rythym Guitarist, Only Snare Drumbrushes, Poor Set List, Poor Sound Quality, Terrible Band, Too Heavy Security
Best For:
Everyone

Alison Krauss & Union Station got standing ovation. Total pros. For the venue, the sound was poor. Willie's band was like a bar band or worse. Drummer with only a snare and brushes, a harmonica player, bass, and Willie. Occasionally sister Bobbie who redeemed the show when she was on. No one to sing harmonies, Willie was disconnected, phoned in the show, people began leaving early and eventually I realized it wasn't going to get any better and we left too. Very sad. Was so excited going in.

I really enjoyed the whole concert. We arrived late and the warm up band was on and my friend said he sounds so much like willie...whe he return it was Willie's son..and another son was with him...not as talented as the son who sang and played the guitar as well or better than Willie..It as amazing show..The Alabama Theater has a wonderful staff and help was everwhere. When we came n my friend is handicap and or seats were on the third level and they up graded our seats to main level and the seats were like captian chairs.Wonderful place to c any concert..

The day the music stopped
By Alexie from Portland, OR on 11/2/2008
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Opening Acts, Great Sound
Best For:
Adults

My boyfriend said he always wanted to see willie Nelson in Austin, Texas. I had no idea when I went online to find tickets what a special show this would turn out to be. The Backyard, a beautiful outdoor venue outside Austin, filled with Live Oaks, was celebrating its last show ever due to urban sprawl that built itself up around the amphitheater. The show went from 2pm to 1am with a star-studded line-up climaxing with the simple beauty of Willie Nelson and Friends. We had a magical experience which will remain with us forever!

Willie Nelson
By none from fort worth, TX on 10/27/2008
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It
Cons:
Auto-pilot, No audience engagement, No citycrowd acknowledge, No encore, Too Short
Best For:
Everyone

It appeared he was on auto-pilot. He tossed a few bandanas to the front crowd. No Fort Worth area acknowledgement or "thank you". End of show was very anti-climatic ... "bye" and no encore.

Willie Nelson Concert Tickets

For more than 45 years, Willie Nelson has been an icon of the country music world. An outspoken political activist and talented singer-songwriter, it's hard to imagine the genre without his contributions, and though he's well over 70 years old, Willie Nelson tickets are still popular.

Nelson got his start in the early 1960s thanks to the moderate success of several singles. Throughout the rest of the decade, he continued to enjoy a loyal following among fans of the sub-genre that's now known as "outlaw country." However, it would not be long before he attracted a much larger fan base. In the early years Nelson shared a stage with everyone from Grateful Dead to Emmylou Harris.

Nelson's first mainstream success came with the release of Shotgun Willie in 1973. The record featured a more commercial sound and included the hits "Stay All Night (Stay A Little Bit Longer)" and "Shotgun Willie." As his popularity grew so did the reserve of other acts that Nelson played with including Alabama, John Mayer and Diana Krall.

In the years since his mainstream breakthrough, Nelson has been at the forefront of the country music world. Over the years he has scored hits with the likes of 1976's The Troublemaker, 1978's Stardust and more recently the 2002 album The Great Divide, which peaked at number five on the country charts.
