I've been to better high school plays!
By Cate from St. Catharines on 6/1/2009
Pros:
Audience Loved It
Cons:
Amateurish, Bad Singing, Boring Plot, Poorly Acted
Best For:
First Time Theater-Goers

I heard this was a really great play, however, after seeing it, I don't understand how it lasted as long as it has. The story line was boring, the singing was what I would imagine karoake night at the local bar to be like and the acting was quite amateurish. I was very glad I hadn't paid full price for my ticket. I quite honestly felt like I was at a high school play! It was like the actors hadn't ever heard a Queen song before. It was very disappointing, to say the least. A lot of the audience seemed impressed, so maybe if it's your first play you've ever been to or you're not used to a quality performance, you'd enjoy it. A lot of people treated it like a rock concert or sporting event and had a lot of beer, maybe that's what I was missing! I really would not recommend this to anyone who enjoys theatre.

The worst production I have ever seen
By Brad the Reitz from Toronto on 6/1/2007
Pros:
None
Cons:
Amateurish, Boring Plot, Lame plot lame jokes, Poorly Acted
Best For:
People being punished

This was a BRUTAL experience. I have been a fan of Queen for 30 years. As a result of this evening I will be hard pressed to ever listen to Queen again without scratching my eyes out or riping my ears out of my head. I actually believe that I may now suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. I appreciate that this production was simply an excuse to experience Queen's music, but the plot and the script were so lame that they actually made me dislike Queen. The "message" of the production was that soulless corporate music threatens "rock and roll". However, this production makes American Idol seem really edgy - this is the most commercial piece of garbage I have ever had the misfortune of sitting through. The fact that members of Queen were involved in this disaster makes it tempting to burn all of my Queen CDs. Freddie Mercury must be spinning in his grave.

Highly entertaining!
By Jon from Toronto, ON on 4/25/2007
Pros:
Audience Loved It, Fantastic Music, Great Lighting, Great Set Design, Incredible Singing
Best For:
Everyone, Maybe not for young child

I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The music was fantastic and I would go back again today if I could. The story is fun and entertaining if a little corny. The humour is great. There were no weak links amongst the top 5 singers in the show.

We Will Rock You Musical Tickets

We Will Rock You is a musical based on the songs of the 1970s rock band Queen. When you purchase We Will Rock You tickets, you are taking a journey with one of the greatest musical groups of all time.

The show is set 300 years in the future within a dystopian society existing in a barren cultural landscape. Ben Elton, the creative mind behind We Will Rock You, establishes the premise of the plot from the beginning. After decades of suppressing individuality, obsessing over digital communication and reveling in unbridled consumerism, humanity is now under the control of an Orwellian corporate government that produces society's music and entertainment.

Brian Justin Crum plays the protagonist, day-dreaming Galileo Figaro, who uses an antique FM radio to pick up music from rock and roll's ancient past. He meets the misanthropic Scaramouche, played by Ruby Lewis, who joins him in his crusade against the vile corporation, GlobalSoft, and its CEO, the cross-dressing Killer Queen played by Jacqueline Arnold.

Crum and the rest of the cast perform classic Queen hits that are adapted for the stage, like "We Will Rock You," "Under Pressure," and "Fat Bottomed Girls." And their rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody," led by Rick Hip-Flores, is worthy of a standing ovation. Don't miss your chance to experience We Will Rock You LIVE! Buy your We Will Rock You tickets now!
