Washington State Basketball Tickets

Washington State University is located in Pullman, Wash., and is home to the WSU Cougars. The school hosts many athletic organizations, including football, baseball and soccer teams - but if you’re a basketball fan, get your Washington State basketball tickets now and head on over to the Beasley Coliseum to see the Cougars take the court.

The Cougars basketball team first took the court on Dec. 7, 1901, when Washington State University was still known as the Washington Agricultural College and School of Science (the school would change it’s name in 1905). Their first coach was a senior student named John B. Evans, who graduated in 1902. Following Evans were coaches James Ashmore, John Bender and Everett Sweeley. Throughout the next five seasons and with a number of different head coaches, the Cougars earned themselves a record of 42-27. In 1908, Fred "Doc" Bohler took over as head coach and was the first to stay longer than a few seasons. Bohler remained in charge over 18 seasons, leading the team to a 226-177 record.

The basketball program at Washington State has produced several athletes who went on to play in the NBA. Aron Baynes played with the Washington State Cougars for four years, making an appearance in two NCAA Tournaments. In 2013, he signed with the San Antonio Spurs. Klay Thompson also made it to the NBA after three seasons with the Cougars. In the 2011 NBA Draft, he was chosen by the Golden State Warriors.
