Great for kids
By MaDukes from Washington, DC on 9/22/2009

The show was fantastic. My kids wanted to see some contact between the dinosaurs. They wanted fighting. I told them the materials used were probably not designed for that. They would like to see it again if it's fighting involved next time.

Not what we expected
By Jaimemason from Toms River, NJ on 9/4/2009
Cons:
Boring Plot
Best For:
The Whole Family

I attended the show in Atlantic City on 9/5/09 and it was just okay. The dinosaurs were very life like, but overall it was not what I was expecting. My five and three year old enjoyed it but again just not what I expected. I would say that it was more educational than entertaining... I also think it is very expensive for what it has to offer.

Dissapointing !
By snoddy from England on 8/9/2009
Cons:
Amateurish, Poorly Acted

The trailers and the actual £12 programme/brochure are very misleading. The dinosaurs are either all on platforms, not walking freely, and the ones that are walking freely have extra legs - being the men inside them. How hard would it have been to have the mens legs, be, the dinosaur legs. The ones on platforms whoses legs moved could not have looked camper. They also had huge great pillars sticking out of their tummys down to the floor. I booked expecting what the trailers and official brochure/programme showed but that was NOT what i got. The show started 40 minutes late without anyone even informing us it was running late, no apology - nothing. They only came on when everyong started stamping their feet. That many excitied children, being kept waiting, in a very hot room, with no explanation is not very proffessional. Over priced and misleading trailers .

Walking with Dinosaurs Tickets

In Australia in 2007, nearly 20 prehistoric dinosaurs were given free run of various tropical jungles. Through the use of animatronics, live footage of the rain forests and simulation, set producers recreated the dinosaur era. These creatures, brought back to life, have toured across the world to amaze viewers with near real-life sounds and sights. Walking with Dinosaurs tickets are sure to give an experience that is out of this world.

The BBC set out in 1996 to make this show about paleontology, which eventually grew into the monstrous hit, Walking with Dinosaurs. The time of dinosaur rule spanned nearly 200 million years. The show features the full reign of the creatures from the Triassic and Jurassic periods to the Cretaceous period. It takes three men to operate each of the life-size frames of the 20 different dinosaurs built for the project, with each large dinosaur weighing in at 1.6 tons.

Walking with Dinosaurs does not sidestep the dramatic end of the species. Tyrannosaurus Rex leads this cast of familiar dinosaurs, giving audience members the chance to see the great creatures as if they were alive today. A paleontologist is the lone human in the show, set apart from the giant creatures, and guides the audience through time.
