As a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Virginia Tech Hokies play some of the most talented teams in Division I college basketball. Rating among that stellar competition are national title holders like Duke University, Syracuse, and the North Carolina Tar Heels. Buy your Virginia Tech basketball tickets and cheer on the Hokies as they contend for another appearance in the NCAA tournament.

Virginia Tech’s basketball team has made great leaps forward in the national college basketball scene. During the 2006-2007 season, under the tutelage of revered head coach Seth Greenberg, the Huskies defeated the perennial NCAA tournament favorite Duke Blue Devils, 69-67, on their own floor at the historic Cameron Indoor Stadium. In another highlight of that year, Greenberg and his team went on to beat no. 1 ranked North Carolina 94-88. To cap of the season, the Hokies appeared in the NCAA tournament, advancing to the second round after defeating the University of Illinois Fightin’ Illini, 54-52.

The Hokies continued their winning ways the following season. That year, Coach Greenberg and his team finished with a record of 19-15. They went on to play in the National Invitational Tournament, advancing to the second round after besting the University of Alabama - Birmingham Blazers in a 75-49 blowout.
