More than 100,000 people head to Hilton Head, South Carolina, to see players battle it out for the championship title at the Verizon Heritage golf tournament. The event is played at the Harbour Town Golf Links at The Sea Pines Resort and has been taking place there since 1969. This course was named one of the top 20 in the country by Golf Digest and Golf Weekly and was even named No. 14 among America’s 100 Greatest courses by Golf Digest. Get your Verizon Heritage tickets to see the course and top players for yourself.

The first tournament took place over Thanksgiving weekend in 1969. Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus were among the first to agree to participate in the tournament, and Palmer ended up taking home the win along with a cash prize of $20,000. The pot has grown considerably since the first event, rising to $5.8 million in 2013.

The list of past champions of this tournament is quite a prestigious one. Standing beside Arnold Palmer as former champions are names like Jack Nicklaus, Bernhard Langer, Nick Price, Tom Watson, Payne Stewart and Davis Love III.

Profits from the Verizon Heritage tournament benefit those in need, producing more than $25 million since 1987. Don’t miss your chance to see it LIVE! Buy your Verizon Heritage tickets now!
