Venus in Fur Theater Tickets

Venus in Fur was written by David Ives, premiered in 2010 and won a Tony for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Play two years later. This two-person production is one of the most popular theater shows around, so get your Venus in Fur tickets so you don’t miss your chance to see it!

The play is set in New York City and is based on the novel of the same name, which was written in 1870 by Austrian author Leopold von Sacher-Masoch. The plot follows a domineering theater director and the actresses that audition for the lead in a play he is producing. Throughout the production, the director is increasingly disappointed by the actresses until one arrives who manages to impress him with her unexpected insight, which completely shifts the balance of power.

Other award nominations for the production include the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Director and Outstanding Costume Design for Anita Yavich, the Drama League Award for Distinguished Production of a Play, and the Tony Award for Best Play.

This story has traveled around the world in the few years it has been performed and is a treat for all theater lovers.
