The Veil of Maya Concert Tickets

Heavy metal is often referenced as the dark side of rock. Its unique sound can be heard from famous artists like Alice Cooper, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. If you can’t get enough of this high intensity type of music, check out Veil of Maya, a metal band formed in Chicago. Get your Veil of Maya tickets now before they sell out.

Veil of Maya was founded in the year 2004 by Sam Applebaum and Marc Okubo. Okubo plays guitar while Applebaum rocks out on drums. The duo later hooked up with Brandon Butler on vocals, previously of Christian metal band Iscariot, and Dan Hauser on bass to round out the band. The group recorded a demo in 2005, but it wasn’t until 2006 that they released their first full-length album, All Things Set Aside. They released the album under the Corrosive Recordings label, who have worked with other artists including After the Burial, Harlots, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza and Leviathan.

In 2008, Veil of Maya decided to leave Corrosive Recordings and signed with Sumerian Records where they recorded their full-length follow up The Common Man’s Collapse. Their second full-length album included the singles "Wounds," "Crawl Back, "Mark the Lines" and "It’s Not Safe To Swim Today."
