NYC Wamu theatre 10/25/09
By RT from New York on 10/27/2009

We were seated way in the back, but the sound was v good with a Large band. This was not the Astral Weeks show from the spring, instead He performed a mix of songs from various albums, including the well known hits- 'Moondance', 'Have I told you lately' . Best part for us was hearing the rarely performed favorites of ours 'in the garden' and 'Philisopher's stone'. While he didn't talk to the audience, his voice and performing were in good form. he added a 'lets hear it for the band', but did not introduce them. 90 minute show. an encore would have been a plus, but not part of the show this time.

Van Morrison's Astral Weeks in DC
By Lar from Washington DC on 8/9/2009

He never addressed the crowd that paid [$] a ticket. He never introduced or acknowledged the musicians. Swore at the band and the roadies. Did not even play all of the album Astral Weeks and walked off stage leaving the band without a curtain call or encore. The lights came on and the boos rained down.

Constitution Hall DC August 7
By Jimmy from Washinton DC on 8/8/2009

Complete waste of time and money. VM doesn't even make the effort to enunciate what he is saying. Nasty to his band, ignores audience- all from such a spiritual, deep person. He needs help.

Astral Weeks DC, August 7, 2009
By The VanFan from Washington, DC on 8/8/2009
Show had great passion, Van was in great voice, Very Very good band, Wonderful sound, Wonderful venue
No band introductions, No encore, Tix way too pricey, Zero rapport as usual

This show was terrific! Tight group, great selection of Astral Weeks-era songs... he also did a rather nice and more recent (1997) Burning Ground. The tickets were [$] each and Van just bolted without an encore. Many people booed at the end after feeling ripped off. You shouldn't pay to see Van and expect him to invite you backstage for a backrub. He is a musical genius and an arrogant jerk at the same time.

Van Morrison Concert Tickets

It will be a wonderful night for a moondance with the legendary Van Morrison. The Northern Ireland-born singer, songwriter and musician, who has been plying his trade since he was a teenager in the late 1950s, is still going strong, delighting audiences worldwide. You'll be shouting G-L-O-R-I-A all night long once you grab some Van Morrison tickets and check out the man whose six Grammy awards are among the least of his accomplishments.

Brown-eyed girls and guys across the globe haven't been able to get enough of this rugged-voiced impresario. He has released more than 30 albums over the years, garnering numerous awards and honors for them. His many hit songs include "Into the Mystic," "Moondance," "Brown-Eyed Girl" and "Gloria," the last of which he performed with the legendary 1960s rock group, Them, are some of the all-time classics from his popular songbook.

And while many rock stars from the 1960s and 70s faded away over time, Morrison has only gotten stronger, honing his sound and delving into new genres and styles, experimenting with music like only a true master can. That's why he has been able to sustain a level of success and adoration that is nearly unmatched in the annals of music.

In the 90s Morrison joined Rodger Waters' tour and collaborate with artists like Tom Jones. Don't miss your chance to see Van Morrison perform LIVE! Buy your Van Morrison tickets now!
