U.S. Senior Open Championship Golf Tickets

The U.S. Senior Open Championship is a major tournament event in men’s senior golf hosted by the U.S. Golf Association. Initially, players had to be at least 55 years old to participate, but the age limit was changed to 50. It is one of the few events open to amateurs, but professionals dominate the field. Purchase your U.S. Senior Open Championship tickets today and enjoy watching the best golf veterans in the USGA.

The first U.S. Senior Open Championship occurred in the summer of 1980 on the East Course of Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y. The event was a complete success, attracting more than 600 entries. The inaugural championship included former U.S. Open champions Lew Worsham, Ed Furgol, Julius Boros and Jack Fleck. Robert De Vicenzo, one of the best Argentinian golfers during that time, defeated all the former U.S. champions to take home the first place prize. He scored a 285 in four rounds of play. The U.S. Senior Open continues to grow in popularity as the number of senior golfers increases. In the 2002 tournament, more than 3,000 entrants were accepted into the field.
