Awesome tennis + loads of fun
By Pistol Pete from Lima, Peru on 9/7/2008
Pros:
Great Style Of Play, High Energy, Stadium Packed, The Crowd Loved It
Best For:
Everyone

Best tennis event I've been to (beats Wimbledon!). I got tickets for the Ground Admission 3rd round fase, and had plenty of access to see top players in action. Wife + other people not tennis fans loved it too - there are a few shops / bars / places to eat, in between the courts where - if you so wish - you can take a break from tennis. Make sure to take a cap to shade yourself from unmerciful sun.

Alot more entertaining then I anticipated...US Open is a must see for anyone who enjoys tennis...just be ready to open your wallet...it is expensive, but well worth it.

Good But Not Great
By Tennis Fan from Chattanooga, TN on 9/2/2008
Pros:
Good players
Cons:
Gen admis too restrictive, Similar styles, Some lines unnecessary, Stadiums not full
Best For:
New To The Sport

Needed clearer understanding re restrictions and how the tournament is run since this was my first US Open. [...] Expected to see some better name players with general admission tickets or easier to upgrade to Ashe. Too many unnecessary lines to get into stadiums that were not full. Didn't feel truly appreciated as a spectator like you're treated at other major events like the Masters.
