This was a great game ....... the last few minutes everyone was on their feet watching the back and forth scoring; it came down to a 1 point loss for UVA. Tickets.com was great ....... University of Virginia Cavaliers Men's Basketball Tickets
In basketball, the conversation in the Atlantic Coast Conference is usually dominated by Duke or North Carolina, but the University of Virginia often plays just as big of a role as the two North Carolina institutions. There's been basketball at UVA for more than 106 years and with a rabid student section and loyal fan following snatching up University of Virginia basketball tickets, the Cavaliers have a pedigree like few other schools.

Throughout its early years, the men's basketball program at UVA experienced intermittent success, but it was not until the mid-70s when they really started to put everything together. Then, in the early '80s they got one of the best players of all time - Ralph Sampson - and he changed everything. Under the leadership of Sampson, the Cavaliers went to the Final Four for the first time in 1981 and also made it to the Elite Eight in his senior year of 1983. While he was at Virginia, the 7-foot-4 Sampson was Player of the Year for an astonishing three consecutive seasons.

Though Sampson is long gone from Charlottesville, the impact he had on the team lives on. The Cavaliers have continued to have success, including trips to the Elite Eight in 1989 and 1995, and fielding talented players such as Sean Singletary.
