Blowing away by the best band live band

I have seen U2 many times and they just seem to get better. The vertigo concert in Houston was incredible. I went with my wife and son, it was there first U2 concert and they were blowing away. I am from Dublin and now live in Texas and cant wait for the next tour. Great show BHOYS looking forward to seen you soon.

U2 In Hawaii

Awesome weather and show. U2 played for 2/12 hours, 24 songs with two encores. The second encore, U2 played their new songs. Billy Joe Armstrong, Of GreenDay fame,was there to sing with U2 on "The Saints are Coming". Eddie Vedder and crew come out and played with U2 on Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World". U2 also played older,rare songs like "I Will Follow" and "Whose Going to Ride Wild Horses" to name a few. A lot of celebrities walking around like Pierce Bronson, D.B. Sweeney,Kid Rock and even Bill Gates of Microsoft fame. Pearl Jam also played a great set. Although,very short.Only 1 hour. All in all,A great time.

As a gift to my wife, we flew to Hawaii to see this show (Bono). To say it was the highlight of our first trip to the islands simply wouldn't due the concert justice. The stage setup was sureal, the sound was awesome, the showmanship was entertaining, the crowd was 100% into the show. Although we had front row seats, due to the dual big screens and perfect sound I don't think there was a bad seat in the house. The openning band was actually the U2 road crew. They were far more entertaining than your normal sound check, they rocked. After a short break Pearl Jam got on stage and rocked out loud. They played a full set of songs. Some old some new. Something for everybody. Can an openning band be any better? Pearl Jam is a head liner without quetion. By now we were all on the edge of our seats, totally into the action, then Bono and crew came out and flat kicked a##!! They even invited a fan up on stage. I'm sure his ultimate fantasy came true when Bono and Edge indulged him by letting him join the band at the key board for Wild Horses. By now I'm converted to a life long U2 fan. Just when I'm thinking this is a superhuman experience, the lead singer of Green day comes out on stage and joins U2 for an encore of The Saints Are Coming! Holy cow, I'm speachless. I can't think of anything that would have made the show any better. If I ever get a chance to buy tickets to another U2 show, I will buy first and figure out how to get to the show next. I won't miss any future U2 tour regardless of how far I need to travel. I'm getting chills just writing about the show. What more needs to be said??
