Troy Trojans College Basketball Tickets

The University of Troy may be located in the heart of college football territory, but the school's basketball program has made a name for itself in recent years. Over the last 50 years the team has risen from humble beginnings to be a regular contender for conference titles, and today anybody who picks up Troy Trojans basketball tickets is surely in for an exciting game.

Troy started playing basketball in 1950, but it was not until the 1960s that the Trojans first began to taste success. Under the direction of legendary coast John Archer, Troy started to make waves in the NAIA while soon working its way toward the NCAA. The Trojans continued to work toward breaking into Division I, and they finally did so in the early 1990s when they played their first D-1 season in 1993.

Troy reached a significant milestone in 2003. That year, the Trojans qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history after they won Atlantic Sun Conference tournament thanks to the leadership by longtime coach Don Maserati. While the trip ended after a loss in the first round to Xavier, it marked a substantial step forward for this program on the rise.
