Trey Songz Concert Tickets

Trey Songz is the stage name of American songwriter, producer, singer and actor Tremaine Aldon Neverson. He first came to prominence in the mid-2000s and has been releasing new music consistently since then. His sound blends elements of rhythm and blues, pop, hip hop, rap and more and has often been compared to the musical stylings of artists like Usher, Chris Brown and Tyga. Having established himself as a successful touring act, Neverson has also distinguished himself from his peers by earning three Grammy nominations throughout the duration of his career. If you’re looking for a night of high-energy, dance-able pop music, then purchase your Trey Songz tickets today!

Career beginnings
Like his peer Chris Brown, Neverson grew up in a small town in Virginia. He was born in 1984 and raised in Petersburg, a small working-class area. He has indicated to multiple sources that he never thought he would get into music, and only began to perform for other people after the encouragement of multiple friends and family members. He quickly realized that he had a significant vocal ability, and began to sing in local talent shows, competitions and concerts throughout his adolescent years. It was at one such talent show that he was first noticed by someone with power in the music industry. At the age of 16, a talent agent by the name Troy Taylor had his eye caught by Neverson.  Roughly two years after approaching and beginning to work with him, Taylor was able to get Neverson a deal with Atlantic Records in 2002.

Rise to fame
Neverson went to New Jersey after his high school commencement and began work on his freshman album. While he had released tracks on several mixtapes under a different name up until this point, his first studio album dropped in July 2005 and was entitled I Gotta Make It. It did well in terms of both sales and recognition, and debuted on the Billboard 200 list in the No. 20 spot. He gained even more notoriety following I Gotta Make It  by earning a feature on the song “Girl Tonite,” which was a single off of the album The Day After by Chicago rapper Twista.  Since then, Songz has released five more studio albums including Trey Day, Ready, Passion, Pain & Pleasure, Chapter V and Trigga.

Other recognition and acting career
While Neverson has received a great deal of praise and many accolades for his music, none speak to his work quite as clearly as his three Grammy nominations. The first came in 2008 when his song “Can’t Help But Wait” was nominated for the Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. Following that, Ready earned a nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album and “Heart Attack” was nominated for Best R&B Song in 2010 and 2013, respectively. He has also come to be known on both television and in cinema, appearing on a number of shows and in movies such as “Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D,” “Baggage Claim” and “When I Was 17.”
