Trans-Siberian Orchestra

With their intricate sounds, intense pyrotechnics and relatable holiday music, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra continues to amaze fans all over the world. In 1956, composers Paul O’Neill and Robert Kinkel and Savatage lead singer Jon Oliva founded the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The name may have derived from the Trans-Siberian Railway in Russia; a symbol of cultures connecting similar to that of their music. The idea was to develop an orchestra type band that would play Christmas carols in a rock-style. Unfortunately, the idea was not warmly received by the music industry, but proved well among fans of all ages. The band utilizes a full 60-piece orchestra and choir.
