One hell of a show! Tower of Power
By SteveZ Funk Connoisseur from Philadelphia, PA on 4/14/2008
Great Seats, So much energy, The band is very tight, The best funk band ever

We saw TOP in 2006 and waited patiently for the 2007 shows to come around. Tickets Now had front row seats and we were elated. What a great experience. I would recommend to anyone who loves funk and soul music along the lines of James Brown to go see this band! We danced all night!

39 Years And Still As Funky As Ever
By infoguy from new york on 4/23/2007

Caught Tower of Power at BB King's in NYC. The core of the group has been together 39 years. They haven't lost a step...or a beat. The horn section, led by Doc Kupka and Emilio Castillo, is still tight and crisp. Drummer David Garibaldi provides the impetus. The new lead singer is charasmatic and can belt out a soulful tune. The original guitarist, Bruce Conte, was phenomenal, as was bass player Francis Rocco Prestia. This was the best $[...] I've ever spent.

Tower of Power Concert Tickets

With over 40 years of experience touring, recording and releasing music, Tower of Power have shown themselves to have a longevity nearly unmatched in the music industry. Hailing from Oakland, California, the horn-heavy group has cultivated a sound mixing elements of rock, jazz, soul and rhythm and blues. Though the group has had fluctuation in its lineup over the years, Lenny Williams is perhaps the most noteworthy member for his role as frontman and lead vocalist in the early 1970s. For those looking for a night of eclectic, brassy music, Tower of Power tickets would make a perfect gift.

Having been signed to Warner Bros., Columbia and Epic recording companies, Tower of Power have released an incredible amount of singles, EPs and albums. Among their most famous songs are “You’re Still A Young Man,” “Soul Vaccination” and “Don’t Change Horses (In the Middle of a Stream).” “You’re Still a Young Man” experienced considerable commercial success, charting at No.29 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at No.24 on the Billboard R&B charts. In 2009, the group released a CD/DVD box set entitled The Great American Soulbook, which commemorated their 40 year anniversary with new recordings of their most famous works as well as covers of a number of soul hits that were popular during their heyday.
