Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Tickets

The Toronto Blue Jays were originally established as part of an expansion wave by the MLB into Canada. This Ontario home team is named after the Blue Jay and also boasts a maple leaf to honor the country's heritage. It's no secret that baseball and beer go hand-in-hand, which is why the team's first owner, Labatt Brewing Company, made so much sense.

Like other relatively new teams in Major League Baseball, the Jays had a rough start, taking last place for their first few seasons. However, in the early 1990s, they found their groove, earning two World Series titles in 1992 and 1993. They also took home the American League pennants in those years. While they may be the second baseball team to be located outside of the U.S., the Jays are the first non-U.S. team to play in and grab a World Series title. Despite their success, the East Division Canadian-based team doesn't have the naturally occurring rivalries that are inherent to professional baseball.

Toronto Blue Jays' fans originally got to see the team play at Exhibition Stadium before the team moved to the SkyDome, which was changed to the Rogers Centre shortly thereafter. The name change took place due to new ownership - the team was bought by Rogers Communications in 2000, with the name switch happening in 2004. Whatever side of the border they may play, the Toronto Blue Jays draw crowds of fans that love the team's level of play!
