Tomatito Concert Tickets

Tomatito, otherwise known as Jose Fernandez Torres, certainly knows his way around a flamenco guitar. The guitar is similar to a classical variety, but has a very low string height in order to create multi-note runs up and down the neck of the instrument. Tomatito has music in his blood. His grandfather, Miguel Fernandez Cortes, used to perform at private parties and Tomatito’s father, Jose Fernandez Castro, was an expert on the guitar and clarinet, even playing in the city’s Municipal Band. It was through these two family figures that Tomatito learned to play his first chords. Get your Tomatito tickets to hear the beautiful Latin music created by this talented performer.

Tomatito’s musical career started at the age of 12 when he performed in flamenco clubs like the Taberna Gitana. It was at this establishment that the guitar prodigy met Camaron de la Isla, one of the all time greatest flamenco singers. Isla was searching for a guitarist to perform at a festival in Malaga. Tomatito would eventually fill that role, beginning an 18-year professional relationship between the duo.

Working with Camaron garnered Tomatito great success. The guitarist performed at sell-out concerts in Spain and at various clubs and festivals. He played for other well-known artists such as Enrique Morente, Antonio Mairena, Juanito Villar, Ottmar Liebert and Chano Lobato.
