Too Much!
By Pineman from Canton Ohio on 11/28/2013
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Lighting
Cons:
Too Loud
Best For:
Adults

By the time the two opening acts finished my ears were ringing from the sound system being so loud it made our seats vibrate and hurt my ears so over 130 db. I couldn't really enjoy Tim by the time he came to the stage and I am fan of his music--we left about half way through his performance.

His career progression and changing sound has mirrored many of the most popular trends in the country music scene, consistently keeping him at the forefront of the industry. Beginnings
Prior to finding fame and success as a country western musician, McGraw was already somewhat linked to the spotlight. His father, Frank Edwin McGraw, Jr, who was affectionately known by his fans as “Tug” McGraw was a professional baseball player. He spent most of his career pitching for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies. Tim was raised by another man, however, and didn’t meet Tug until he was 11, with his father denying paternity until Tim was 18 years of age. Nonetheless, they were close throughout Tim’s late adolescence until Tug passed away. McGraw briefly attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where he developed a fondness for the guitar. Several years later, he moved to Nashville to pursue his career in music.

Rise to fame and studio career
McGraw received his first break in early 1990 when Nashville-based Curb Records offered him a contract after hearing his demo tape. He would spend the next several years recording and writing songs for his debut studio album, eponymously titled Tim McGraw. While that album did not chart, McGraw has seen an unbelievable amount of success in the years that have followed, ultimately releasing 12 more albums: Not a Moment Too Soon, All I Want, Everywhere, A Place in the Sun, Set This Circus Down, Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors, Live Like You Were Dying, Let it Go, Southern Voice, Emotional Traffic, Two Lanes of Freedom and Sundown Heaven Town.

Critical reception and other ventures
McGraw has experienced a noteworthy amount of praise for his musical career, earning awards from some of the most esteemed critics in the world. Among his lengthy resume are three Grammy Awards, one in 2005 for best male vocal country performance for his hit song “Live Like You Were Dying,” and two with his longtime wife Faith Hill. Those awards came in 2001 and 2006, respectively. The first was for the couple’s vocal collaboration on “Let’s Make Love” and the second came for the best country vocal collaboration for “Like We Never Loved at All.” McGraw has also parlayed his fame into an acting career, having now appeared in more than half a dozen feature films.
