Thompson Twins Concert Tickets

The Thompson Twins were formed in England in 1977, and named after the detectives Thompson and Thompson from the comic “The Adventures of Tin Tin.” This new wave band was most famous for its hits from the 80s such as “In The Name of Love” and “Hold Me Now.” The band found great success in both the UK and overseas in Canada and America, as part of the second British invasion. Thompson Twins tickets are sure to bring a night of new wave and punk music to concert goers.

Tom Bailey, Peter Dodd, John Roog and Jon Podgorski were the band’s original members. The group moved to London with little money and lived as squatters. Here they met their future band mate Alannah Currie. The band moved around, losing some members and recruiting others, when they signed with Arista Records in 1981. Their first album, featuring the dance hit “In the Name of Love,” pushed the Thompson Twins into the limelight. The band eventually narrowed down to just three members, and as a trio they toured abroad. They went on to perform with Madonna in her early career, open for The Police and make Billboard hits for the rest of the decade. The Thompson Twins formally disbanded in 1993, but its members continued to tour and make music as solo artists.
