Disappointed.

Pros:
Engaging Plot, Great Set Design
Cons:
Amateurish, Difficult To Hear, Lacked good comic timing, Poorly Acted, Poorly Sung, Unresponsive audience
Best For:
Casual Theater-Goers, Laid-back audience
I felt that justice was not done for the two main characters. The acting was sub-par and the two leads never were quite likeable enough. Especially the Julia character. The comic timing was off, so the generally unresponsive audience had even less to react to. The audio mix was also a little poor. Some of the leads were a bit pitchy, which I think was a result of their inability to hear the backing music well. Overall I was disappointed. The show wasn't SO terrible, it just lacked the heart to make it truly great. Also I'm totally biased because I'd seen it before on broadway with the original cast. You just can't beat Stephen Lynch.
