There were some venues that were not open to me because of the type of ticket I purchased. That was not described before I bought ticket or I might have opted for a more expensive ticket had I known one was available. 18th hole was terrible - the grandstands did not have enough seats and they blocked the view - there needed to be more open areas around the 18th green for walkers rather than sitters!!
For my husbands birthday (July 31) his mother and myself purchased 2 tickets to the final round of The Tour Championship (Sept 16). Since we ordered the tickets in July and didn't have them in hand for his birthday, we created a paper project with the details and framed one for each ticket. I had wrapped and given him one ticket and our son Wes (8 years old, plays and watches golf) was telling Dad how he just had to go too! My husband was explaining to him that he would try to get him a ticket but no matter what he would try to get him autographs. Wes is just beside himself wanting to go with his Dad, they discuss it while my husband was preparing to open the last gift from his mother. When he seen that it was another ticket to The Tour Championship, they began high fiving and fist pumping. It was great and to have it on video made it better. My husband leaned over and kissed our son and told him, "We're going!" They woke early Sunday morning (Sept 16) and were ready to go. Arriving on the second bus to the course they made their way around and went to the Delta Championship Club for lunch. They had a great time and Wes met up with Boo Weekley again and was proud to follow Boo along with seeing all of the other players. Wes has been a Tiger Woods fan since he first carried a club at 1, even having us call him Tiger when he was younger, so for him to see Tiger in person was a dream come true for that little guy! He was lucky enough to get several autographs and a 3 golf balls from players, we thank them for their kindness as this meant the world to Wes and our family. To hear how this was the best birthday present I could have gotten my husband was wonderful. The best thing though was hearing the excitement in my 8 year olds voice as his tells me everything he saw and the sound that it makes when Tiger hits the ball. The bonding time that my husband and son had at an event that they both truly love to play and watch paired with the priceless memories made this the best purchase ever! Wes commented that it was the best day of his life, ever!

The Tour Championship simply is not as exciting as other tournaments I have attended, such as The Masters, PGA Championship, etc.
