The Shins Concert Tickets

As indie rock began its resurgence in the 2000s, The Shins were at the front of the charge. With an instantly recognizable sound and a unique style few other bands can match, the New Mexico-based group formed a large fan following that will pick up The Shins tickets whenever possible.

The Shins can trace their roots back to 1996, but they did not achieve any significant mainstream success until the release of their 2001 debut Oh, Inverted World. The record included a number of well-known tunes, but perhaps the most successful was "New Slang," which was famously used in the 2004 flick “Garden State.” Once the album was in circulation, the band began to share the stage with names like Tool and Iggy Pop.

With their foot firmly in the door, The Shins popularity continued to grow over the rest of the decade. Their sophomore effort, 2003's Chutes Too Narrow, was a commercial and critical favorite and is considered among the best albums of the 2000s.

Though The Shins have only produced two albums since then, their quality of music has not faded. The band's most recent album, Port of Morrow, stayed true to their sound and the lead single "Simple Song" shows they've still got plenty more left.
