The Book of Mormons Tickets

From the creative minds behind “South Park” and Broadway’s “Avenue Q” comes the unconventional theatrical comedy “The Book of Mormon.” In the same vein as “South Park’s” exaggerated, satirical yet intelligent humor, the latest production from the show’s creators will induce side-splitting laughter for any theatergoer. Don’t miss out on the fun, get your The Book of Mormon tickets today!

An unusual origin story
Created by writing partners Trey Parker and Matt Stone with the help of Broadway veteran Robert Lopez, “The Book of Mormon” tells the tale of two youthful Mormon missionaries journeying to spread the word in a perilous area of Uganda. Their story is told in tandem with that of Joseph Smith, the founder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is definitely a comedic theater event meant for adults only, and you will be rolling in the aisles as you follow Elder Price and Elder Cunningham as they try to navigate life in a foreign country and learn how to go on when their faith is tested. Though the show is in line with Parker, Stone and Lopez’s normal brand of humor, it does not blatantly mock religion but instead uses history and personal relationships to open a discussion about faith as a whole.

Broadway gold
While some may have laughed at the idea of the men behind “South Park” writing and directing a hit Broadway musical, the awards speak for themselves. Despite “The Book Mormon” being the first theatrical production for both Parker and Stone, the musical has won almost every award there is.  The show was nominated for 14 Tonys in 2011, nine of which it won. It received the award for Best Book of a Musical, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Featured Actress in a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Scenic Design of a Musical, Best Sound Design of a Musical, Best Orchestrations and Best Musical overall.

With over 1,000 performances so far, the show continues to pack in audiences. Critics’ reviews have called the production a blast and Jon Stewart even said the show is “so good it makes me angry.” So grab some friends and head on over to catch what just might be the best musical comedy to ever hit Broadway! Tickets always sell fast, so don’t miss your opportunity to see the play everyone has been talking about and get your tickets for “The Book of Mormon” before they’re gone!
