Texas Rangers Tickets

The Texas Rangers are back for another season of exciting baseball. As a team that has boasted big name Hall of Famers like Ferguson Jenkins and Nolan Ryan, it’s no wonder the Rangers have been a source of pride in the great state of Texas. Be sure to wear your red, white and blue to support the beloved Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Buy your tickets today!

The early beginnings
Though the Texas Rangers were founded in 1961, they were originally called the Washington Senators. The team was then moved to Minnesota and became the Twins. After the 1971 season, they moved for their third time to Arlington, Texas, as their final home. The team debuted as the Rangers the following spring.

Even though the team hasn’t experienced an incredible amount of success, that doesn’t mean they haven’t done their fair share of fighting. The Texas Rangers Baseball Club has made six appearances in the MLB postseason, five following division championships in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2010 and 2011 and as a Wild Card team in 2012. In 2010, the Rangers advanced past the Division Series for the first time after a grueling series with the Tampa Bay Rays. The team went on to bring home their first American pennant after beating the New York Yankees in six games. The Rangers played in their first World Series in 2010, but lost to the San Francisco Giants in five games. However, their lone victory made them the first Texas team to win a World Series game. The Houston Astros made their appearance in 2005, but were swept in four games against the Chicago White Sox. The Rangers followed up the 2011 season by making it to the World Series again, but lost to the St. Louis Cardinals in seven games.

The venue
Although the team has not experienced traditional success, it still has an unwavering fan base. The team draws both supportive and excited crowds at its home stadium, Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. The Texas Rangers’ first ballpark was Arlington Stadium, nestled between Dallas and Fort Worth. It served as the team’s home from 1972 until 1993. The Rangers then moved to The Ballpark in Arlington in 1994, now known as Globe Life Park in Arlington.

This opening represented a new era for the Texas Rangers. The stadium was built in only a short 23 months. Designed to embody the traditional aesthetic of American baseball, it contains granite, brick, exposed structural steel, an asymmetrical playing field and a home run porch in right field. It is the perfect place for the whole family to see a game.

Although the Texas Rangers have struggled to find success in the past, they are fully equipped with players who have the talent to thrive this upcoming season. Be sure to purchase your tickets so you can get a front row seat of the live action. Buy your Texas Rangers tickets today!
