Tampa Bay Storm Football Tickets

The Tampa Bay Storm is a professional arena football team from the Sunshine State. They're a part of the Arena Football League and have been playing since 1987. However, this team wasn't always known as the Tampa Bay Storm. The team originally played in Pittsburgh, where they were named the Gladiators. It wasn't until 1990 that Bob Greis, the owner of the team, moved it to the Florida Suncoast Dome in Tampa Bay. See these talented players defeat their opponents by getting your Tampa Bay Storm football tickets.

In 1991, the team became the Storm thanks to a "Name the Team" contest. In its first five seasons, the Storm took home three ArenaBowl championships, but didn't stop there. Peter Woody Kern bought the team and hired AFL Hall of Fame coach Tim Marcum. Marcum led the Storm to five further ArenaBowl appearances - three of which saw the team come away with championship rings. The year 1993 was big for the Storm, with the organization setting a league record for fan attendance when 28,746 took their seats to watch the rivalry between the Storm and the Orlando Predators.

Since 1997, the team has played its home games in the Tampa Bay Time Forum (previously the Ice Palace and the St. Pete Times Forum) The 2013 season brought many rookies to the field, as the team boasted 10 on their roster. Despite the inexperience of some of the players, the Storm experienced a successful season with a 7-4 record, winning their first four away games.
