Super Bowl XLIX Tickets

Occurring each year in early February, the Super Bowl is the culmination of the National Football League’s elimination-driven playoff system. The matchup, which has become one of the most-celebrated sporting events in the U.S. and the world at large, pits the top teams from both the National Football Conference (NFC) and American Football Conference (AFC) against each other in a winner-takes-all battle for football dominance. The event has broken numerous records for the incredible television audience that it amasses each year, with more than 111 million Americans tuning in to watch the game in 2014 not to mention considerable numbers from other countries. If you’re looking to take in this annual showdown live, then purchase your Super Bowl tickets today!

The game has a history that spans nearly five decades and has played host to some of the most historic matches in NFL history. In the late 1960s the NFL and its rival league, the AFL, agreed to merge for the 1970 season. In anticipation of the event, the two then-separate leagues agreed to have their respective champions play in a title game until the “official merger” in February 1970. In this matchup the AFL–NFL World Championship Game, aka the Super Bowl, was born. The first Super Bowl was played on January 15, 1967.

The first annual Super Bowl featured the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Green Bay Packers with Green Bay emerging victorious by a score of 35 to 10. Bart Starr, the Packers’ starting quarterback, was named the MVP of the game.

The Super Bowl has quickly become one of the biggest days of the year in America. It is currently the most watched television program each season and comes in second only to Thanksgiving for food consumption on a single day. The halftime show of the Super Bowl has also taken on a life of its own showcasing the biggest talents in popular music.

Since its inception, the game has been played in stadiums all over the country and featured most of the teams in the NFL. Each year, Americans begin the football season hoping their team will have what it takes to make it to the big game. Purchase your Super Bowl tickets today to guarantee your spot taking in an indelible piece of football history!
