jones beach show was a religious experience ,best ive seen cornell sing since seattle 1991 at the bumpershoot festival. ive seen sg or cornell to many times to remember ,however this reunion tour is way more than i ever could have expected .great set list left nothing to want ,FOR REAL IT WAS SPECIAL .
Soundgarden was great. The Comcast center has horrible acoustics. If you are not in the front sections the music was overpowering Chris Cornell's lead vocals.

Soundgarden has been churning out their grungy, alternative metal hits since the mid-1980s. Lead singer Chris Cornell’s gritty voice propelled the band into the spotlight when the Seattle sound was just coming into its own. Decades after the grunge genre’s glory years Soundgarden tickets are still selling out, especially after the band’s unannounced reunification in 2010.
Finding their niche on the grunge scene, Soundgarden released their 1988 debut album “Ultramega OK” to little praise and much critique. After touring to uphold the fledgling album, Soundgarden went back to the drawing board with a major label before releasing their sophomore album “Louder Than Love” in 1989. Scoring controversial hits in tunes like “Big Dumb Sex” and “Hands All Over,” the album gave the band their first charted success. Soundgarden blasted off in their career and onto a tour with Guns N’ Roses. Many fans became disillusioned with Soundgarden and their choice of touring mates, believing the band was leaving their roots and becoming more mainstream metal. Soundgarden pushed ahead to release “Badmotorfinger” and “Superunknown,” the album that yielded “Spoonman,” “Black Hole Sun” and their first Grammy. On an upward swing they toured on Lollapalooza in 1992 with Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam and again in 1996 with Metallica. In 1996 the band released “Down on the Upside” before their breakup in late 1997 … which was followed by the bands reunion more than a decade later in 2010. Tunes “Black Rain” and “The Telephantasm” trailed in the wake of the band getting back together.
