Slint Concert Tickets

Slint may not have lasted for very long, but like a comet, the band burned bright while it did. Formed in 1987 from the remaining members of Louisville, Kentucky, cult favorite Squirrel Bait, Slint would go on to produce only two albums, Tweez in 1989 and Spiderland in 1991, before disbanding. In the years since, Spiderland has become one of the most devoutly followed albums of the ’90s, inspiring the generation of post-hardcore rock musicians that would define that decade. Every so often, Slint tickets are released, as the band reunites to celebrate its crowning achievement.

The sound that Slint created for itself was like nothing that came before it. A mish-mash of rhythm and noise, the music feels as though all the hardcore rock and punk influences of the 1980s have been sucked into a black hole and crushed within its massive gravitational force to a single point. The sonic experimentation that Slint was engaged in would eventually become de rigeur throughout the 1990s as the post-hardcore scene began to develop and produce talents such as Shellac, Unwound, Polvo and Big Black.
