Bruno Mars Concert Tickets

Peter Gene Hernandez, better known by his stage name Bruno Mars, is an American singer and songwriter who first rose to fame in the late 2000s. With an infectious pop sound that has been compared to the likes of Justin Timberlake, Michael Buble, Chris Brown, Cee Lo Green and Travie McCoy, Mars has captured the hearts of millions with his radio-friendly ballads. Also known for his energetic and lively stage persona, he has carved out a niche as a beacon of fashion and style among male pop stars, often sporting outfits influenced heavily by retro fashions of the 1970s and 80s. If you’re looking for a family-friendly pop concert that you and the kids can enjoy, don’t hesitate. Purchase your Bruno Mars tickets today to see this pop music phenomenon in the flesh!

While he’s risen to the top of the pop music charts and the center of the public eye, Mars had anything but a simple path to stardom. Raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was born into a family of musicians and artists and encouraged strongly to pursue his musical interests from a young age. He began playing guitar in his teenage years, but had a knack for the stage even before that. One of his uncles was an Elvis impersonator, and would frequently invite young Bruno onto the stage with him to perform some of the King’s most classic songs. Later in life, after reaching stardom, Mars would frequently cite Presley’s work and his early exposure to it as an integral influence of his musical styles. Indeed, his dancing ability has been compared by many to the then-risque motions of Presley. By the time he finished high school, Mars had already been performing with a number of bands and was aware that music was the calling he wanted to pursue. With that mindset, he packed his bags and moved to Los Angeles to attempt to make it in the entertainment industry.

Los Angeles and Mars’ rise to fame
His first several years in Los Angeles were relatively turbulent. Within a year of moving to the City of Angels, Mars was fortunate enough to find himself signed to a record deal with the popular label Motown. Regrettably, the deal with Motown fizzled out rather quickly, and he was dropped by the label before 2004 came to a close. He didn’t give up though, and was able to parlay some of the connections that he had made while with Motown into valuable contacts down the line. Mars began playing around Los Angeles with a number of bands, making enough to get by. During this time, he received mentoring from Philip Lawrence, a Motown-signed producer, honing his craft as a pop musician. With Lawrence’s advice, he was able to sign a small-time deal with Westside Independent, another L.A.-based label, in 2005. During his time with Westside Independent, Mars wrote a vast number of pop songs. While only a select few of these would be put out officially or picked up by other bands, it provided him with the launching pad he needed to get his career rolling.

Atlantic signing and first two albums
Mars spent the next several years writing songs for popular artists such as Travie McCoy, Brandy and Flo-Rida. From this popularity, he earned a deal with Atlantic Records, and he has since released two successful albums, Doo-Wops and Hooligans in 2010 and Unorthodox Jukebox in 2012. Between the two albums, Mars has put out a slew of popular tracks such as “Grenade,” “Just the Way You Are,” “Locked Out of Heaven” and “When I Was Your Man.” His success between these two records led to a headlining spot at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2014 and two Grammy Awards.
