Benaroya Hall is home to the incredibly talented Seattle Symphony. This orchestra has been recognized for multiple performances, including The Rite of Spring, Holst's The Planets and Berlioz's The Damnation of Faust, among others. Immerse yourself in a live classical music experience by picking up your Seattle Symphony tickets today.

December 29, 1903 was the date of the Seattle Symphony's very first performance. Between then and now, the program has seen many music directors, all of which have helped shape the orchestra into what it is today. Sir Thomas Beecham was the first music director to bring considerable esteem to the symphony, while Milton Katims took over in 1954 and worked on bolstering the organization's educational programs.

The Seattle Symphony is much more than a group of musicians. Not only do they consistently put on extraordinary performances, they are always engaged with the community. For example, in April 2001, they opened Soundbridge Seattle Symphony Music Discovery Center. This building was designed as a place where people of all ages can learn about music through live presentations, classes and exhibits. The Discovery Center also provides activities for families and schools that help promote collaboration, communication and creativity.
