Seattle Seahawks Tickets

Since they entered the league in the 1970s, the Seattle Seahawks have had one of the best home field advantages in the National Football League. The team’s fans - lovingly referred to as the 12th man - have helped them win year after year, and anybody who needs proof of their power needs simply to pick up Seattle Seahawks tickets.

Expanding west
The Seattle Seahawks joined the NFL together with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the league’s expansion in 1976. Members of the NFC West Division, the Seattle-based team play at CenturyLink Field in downtown Seattle. The Seahawks have won several division championships, three conference championships and have made multiple playoff appearances. The Hawks made it to the Super? Bowl at least three times and brought home a ring in 2013 with a win against team rivals the Denver Broncos.

After being granted a franchise in 1974, the early years of Seattle football were met with significant challenges. Despite the lack of playoff appearances, however, Seahawks fans remained loyal and their passion was rewarded in 1983. That year, Seattle went on a surprise playoff run and advanced to the AFC Championship game where they lost to the eventual Super Bowl champion Oakland Raiders.

Going all the way
Having broken through to the playoffs, the Seahawks continued to be a regular contender over the next several decades. That all came to a head in 2005 when they reached the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history. Although they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, it was cause for celebration among the legions of loyal Seahawks fans. Seattle has been lucky enough to welcome some of the most exciting players in recent history, including running back Shaun Alexander, who set a record for rushing touchdowns in a single season, and electrifying quarterback Russell Wilson, who would go on to lead the team to its first Super? Bowl win.

Like all professional football teams, the Seahawks have innate rivals in their division with the San Francisco 49ers and the St. Louis Rams. A historical contention left over from the Hawks’ days in the AFC with the Oakland Raiders is slowly on the decline, as the two teams rarely face? off against one another these days. However, a new rivalry against the Denver Broncos has been brewing for the last few decades. The Broncos had the winning edge until the league realignment in 2002, but since then the Seahawks have been dominant and came out victorious when the two teams met in the 2013 Super Bowl.
