49ers vs Seahawks at the Stick
By Haynpunk from Suisun City, CA on 10/28/2008
Pros:
High Energy, Stadium Packed
Best For:
Everyone, New To The Sport, Out-Of-Towners

I'm a die-hard 49er fan. Eventhough I was greatly disappointed they lost badly to the 'hawks, it was everything I expected from a rivalry game. Had fans from both teams heckling each other. Will be going to the other rivalry game against the Rams in three weeks. But the seats were great, next to the Niners' sideline near the old Giants dugout(from back in the days when my SF Giants also played at the 'Stick)

I'd do it again!
By Seahawk fan from Reno, NV on 10/28/2008
Pros:
Great Style Of Play, High Energy

We had a great time. Our team winning helped alot! Except for a unruly drunken fan of the opposing team it was a good time. We will do it again next year.

San Francisco 49ers Tickets

The San Francisco 49ers are members of the West Division of the NFC in the NFL. The team’s home field is Candlestick Park located in San Francisco proper. Established in 1946 the Niners were originally members of the AAFC before joining the NFL when the conference folded in 1950. The team’s moniker stems from the infamous California Gold Rush and the forty-niners nickname that was given to the gold prospectors. Though the 49ers paved the way as the first professional sports franchise based on the West Coast, they only made it to second place in the league during their first few years because the Cleveland Browns were dominating most of the conference. It wasn’t until 1957 that the 49ers would take pleasure in their first triumphs as NFL members. The Bay Bombers gained momentum and San Francisco 49ers tickets became a hot item. They ended the 1957 season with an 8-4 record tying with the Detroit Lions for the Western Division title.

Over the next few decades the Niners were plagued with a streak bad luck and bad choices. A number of player acquisitions, including O.J. Simpson in 1977 and Joe Montana in 1978, were meant to move the team out of its rut. To no avail the team’s downgrade didn’t break until 1981 when they brought home the Super Bowl title. Owners of several division and conference championship wins, the San Francisco 49ers have made numerous Playoff appearances and were the first team to win five Super Bowls. The 49ers enjoy a variety of rivalries starting with the once bitter historical opposition against the Dallas Cowboys, then moving on to the cross-town contention with the Oakland Raiders and finishing up with divisional foes of St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals.
