One of the highlights of this concert was Across the Universe with Sean Lennon.
my first time seeing rufus live. i laughed. i cried. the full spectrum of emotions.
This was the third time I've seen Rufus Wainwright in Concert. Although I don't think Release the Stars, his new album, is his strongest, he made it truly come alive on stage. And as an encore, he did a truly moving rendition of Judy Garland's "Come on Get Happy."

Front row seats to one of the best shows in my life. It exceeded all of my expectations. The sets were brilliant and Rufus brought every ounce of energy into the show. It's obvious he cares about every moment on stage -- not just him but his entire band who were outstanding. His mother (Kate McGarrigal) and his sister (Martha Wainwright) made guest appearances on stage. He did numbers from his new album and some from previous albums. He sang several Judy Garland pieces and did traditional Irish folk songs. I'm not going to spoil the encore because it is more thrilling if you experience it yourself. I am still buzzing from the show 2 days later. Rufus is a true musician and preformer. Talent plus heart. He pulled out all of the stops to give the audience an experience they will never forget.
