Rose Bowl Football Tickets

Affectionately known as The Granddaddy of Them All, the Rose Bowl is one of the most anticipated college football games of the year. The game, which traditionally pits the Big 10 champion against the Pac-12 winner, has been held every year for more than 95 years, and picking up Rose Bowl tickets offers you the chance to see history unfold in person.

The Rose Bowl was first played in 1902, but it wasn't until 1916 that it became an annual event. Over the last 95-plus years, the game has featured some of the best college football teams in NCAA history. One of the most memorable contests was the 1969 game, which pitted the No. 1 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes against the No. 2 USC Trojans. OSU came away with the 27-16 win despite 171 rushing yards from Heisman Trophy winner O.J. Simpson to capture the national title.

Although the event doesn't necessarily featured Big 10 and Pac-12 teams each year now - thanks to the Bowl Championship Series - it has still given college football fans a string of legendary games in recent years. Most people will remember the 2005 Rose Bowl between Michigan and Texas, an instant classic that came down to the wire where the Longhorns eked it out thanks to a sterling performance from quarterback Vince Young.

The landscape of college sports is continuously changing. Whether it's conference realignments, new coaches or new nicknames, you can never really be sure of anything. But the Rose Bowl will be here forever.
