Fabulous Show!
By Rosie D from Kansas City, MO on 1/10/2011
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Emotional, Engaging, Engaging Stage Presence, Fun
Best For:
Adults, Everyone, Families, Kids

Roger Hodgson puts on one of the best shows I've ever had the pleasure to see. His voice is better than ever, and he plays all the hits, as well as some of his lesser-known songs. His side-man, Aaron MacDonald, is a wonderful musician and singer. Roger interacts with the crowd, joking and discussing the origin or impact of each song, and this makes for a delightful, intimate experience. He also encourages singing along, clapping, and dancing. Have no fear, if you go to see Roger live -- whether it's just Roger and Aaron, Roger with a band, or Roger with an orchestra -- you will have a fabulous concert experience!

River Rock Casino (Richmond, BC) and R
By heartsong62 from Wisconsin on 1/10/2011
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Encores, Great Lighting
Best For:
Everyone

From the time Roger walks onto the stage you feel his music, love and compassion. His voice sounds better than ever and he spends his time interacting with the sea of faces before him. Be warned, once you have seen one performance, you will return again and again........ Roger has been touring with the multi-instrumentalist Aaron McDonald for the last five years. Both men create such a full sound; it is not a far stretch to state that other instruments are not necessary. For more information on upcoming shows check his website............. Yes I am a big fan, come join me…….

Do yourself a favor and see Roger Hodgson's concert. I saw Roger's show in Quebec in July and was astonished as to how wonderful it was. I didn't want the night to end. Roger, co-founder of Supertramp, is the one who wrote and composed the great majority of their hits to include Dreamer, Breakfast in America, The Logical Song, Give a Little Bit, and so many more. I loved seeing him perform his epic, Fool's Overture. What a voice he has! Can't wait to see his show again.

Breakfast in America, Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Give a Little Bit, Great Encores, Great Sound, Perfect Set List, Supertramp
Best For:
Adults, Everyone, Families, Kids

Roger Hodgson's concert blew me away. His voice sounds the same as on the records- and I didn't realize until I heard him live that he is the one responsible for most of the biggest hits of Supertramp like Breakfast in America, The Logical Song, Dreamer, School, It's Raining Again, Take the Long Way Home, Hide in Your Shell- all my favorites. Do yourself a favor and check out the show. I've saw him solo in 2006 and now he's coming with his band- I can't wait! Roger Hodgson Biography

Best known for his stint fronting art pop hitmakers Supertramp, Roger Hodgson was born in Portsmouth, England, on March 21, 1950. He co-founded Supertramp in 1969, serving as their primary singer and songwriter for 13 years. Originally funded by Dutch millionaire Stanley August Mieseages, the group lost his patronages after their first two albums failed to generate much interest. However, 1974's Crime of the Century was a major hit, launching the radio favorites Dreamer and Bloody Well Right. After scoring an international hit in 1977 with Give a Little Bit from the album Even in the Quietest Moments..., Supertramp reached their commercial peak with 1979's chart-topping Breakfast in America, which yielded the smashes Take the Long Way Home, The Logical Song, and Goodbye, Stranger on its way to selling close to 20 million copies. In the wake of 1982's ...Famous Last Words..., Hodgson left Supertramp to mount a solo career, issuing his debut effort, In the Eye of the Storm, in 1984. Within days of issuing the follow-up, 1987's Hai Hai, Hodgson fell and broke both of his wrists the accident kept him out of action for several years, and he did not resurface until co-writing several songs on Yes' 1994 album Talk. A live solo album, Rites of Passage, followed three years later and featured Hodgson collaborating with son Andrew. Open the Door, his first new studio effort in 13 years, appeared in the spring of 2000. The album received positive responses from critics and fans alike, and Hodgson was subsequently recruited to tour with Ringo Starr as a member of the All-Starr Band. He continued to play solo shows as well, releasing a DVD of one such performance (Take The Long Way Home -- Live in Montreal) in summer 2006. The DVD would go platinum in Canada by that October. ~ Jason Ankeny & Andrew Leahey, Rovi
