worst show ever
By Dave from Wexford, PA on 11/5/2012

this show was bad. Rodriguez's guitar was constantly out of tune, even though half the show consisted of him trying to tune his guitar. He mumbled, and the audience grumbled. He is in no shape to tour.

Rodriguez Concert Tickets

There's no story in folk music that's quite like that of Rodriguez. A folk singer back in the 1960s and 1970s, it seemed like his career was relatively short lived, but after decades out of the spotlight, he had a significant career revival. Today, Rodriguez tickets are arguably as popular as they have ever been.

Rodriguez got his start in the music industry in 1967, when he released the little known single "I'll Slip Away." What little fanfare accompanied the track did not attract much attention, and it wasn't until several years later that Rodriguez tried his hand at music again. He released albums in 1970 and 1971, both of which were moderately successfully but not enough to sustain a lengthy career, so it appeared as though his time as singer had come to an end.

However, that was certainly not the case. Rodriguez's music struck a chord with the anti-Apartheid movement in South Africa. In 1991, his two albums were released in the country and were big hits. By the end of the decade a popular South American Rock band, Just Jinjer, released a cover of "Sugar Man," one of Rodriguez's songs, further cementing his career resurgence. In 2002, rap-star Nas sampled the song, giving Rodriguez some international attention.

Recently, Rodriguez has developed a loyal fan following in the United States as well. His two albums have been re-released and he stands as somewhat of a living legend.
