Rock Band Live
By DeZZ from McHenry, IL on 10/25/2008
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Sound
Cons:
Not enough old songs, Panic's New Music Sucked
Best For:
Adults, Teens
Overall the show was good. Panic! at the Disco disappointed compared to their earlier shows (high energy, intricate stage displays, etc...). Compared to previous shows they were low energy and did not put nearly as much effort into their performance. I don't know if that is because they were only co-headlining or because their new CD might as well be titled "Lullabies" rather than "Pretty Odd", or because Rock Band Live wanted a different kind of performance from them. Either way, I hope they go back to their roots and start putting on crowd shocking performances again.
Dashboard Confessional was great, and with the terrible, sleepy, songs Panic! was playing I wish they would have had more time to play. They mixed up their set list, and did an awesome cover of "So what? (Rockstar)" by Pink.
Plain White T's came out clean cut and with a decent sound, but they lack the punch of their previous performances....such as when they were performing songs off of their album "Stop". Still entertaining though.
The Cab was neither great nor terrible. They had a decent sound, and ok entertainment value. They didn't wow me, I wouldn't buy their CD, but they were ok for an opening band.
Overall the show was fun, and not too crowded, which was nice. Dashboard and Panic's songs from "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out", were the highlights of the night.
