I had never seen Robert Earl Keen before, but I will go and see him every chance I get from now on. The musicians were amazing. Bass Hall had wonderful acoustics.
We are newer but total fans. We traveled from Colorado to my former residence of Houston. The concert was more fan friendly in his home state as he went deeper into his music collection for this concert. The band was very much at home and the crowd was totally into it from our location which was pressed up against the stage. As long as we can get that close and spend the concert with hard core fans, it can only be a great experience.
Robert Earl Keen is the Texas storyteller. His songs each paint a picture of his own version of love, life, or just plain fun, set to a "Best Western" stle of music. His die-hard fans sing along, as the new listeners marvel at how the folks all know all of the words. It is a great time!
