Robert Earl Keen at Home
By Jay and Marvel from Loveland Colorado on 12/16/2007
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Encores
Best For:
Everyone

We are newer but total fans. We traveled from Colorado to my former residence of Houston. The concert was more fan friendly in his home state as he went deeper into his music collection for this concert. The band was very much at home and the crowd was totally into it from our location which was pressed up against the stage. As long as we can get that close and spend the concert with hard core fans, it can only be a great experience.

Robert Earl Keen is the Texas storyteller. His songs each paint a picture of his own version of love, life, or just plain fun, set to a "Best Western" stle of music. His die-hard fans sing along, as the new listeners marvel at how the folks all know all of the words. It is a great time!

Robert Earl Keen Concert Tickets

This folk-roots singer/songwriter is both a sensitive storyteller and a fast-and-loose firebomb. Robert Earl Keen can craft tender love songs like "Corpus Christi Bay," but he also throws down for rowdy tunes like "That Buckin' Song." Robert Earl Keen tickets offer the opportunity to experience both sides to this songsmith.

His self-financed debut album, 1984's No Kind Dancer, was his breakthrough to the world of music. A forefather to the alt-country movement, Keen calls Texas home and has allowed it to influence his music heavily, such as in his sophomore effort, West Textures. Many know him for the song "The Road Goes on Forever," which narrates a couple's crime spree. His other hits include "This Old Porch," which he co-wrote with Lyle Lovett, and "Feelin' Good Again."

Robert Earl Keen is also known for his thrilling LIVE performances, because he's got a lot of experience under his belt. In the 1990s, he toured extensively and often performed up to 200 shows a year. With Keen's success, his songs became popular covers for artists such as George Strait, Dixie Chicks, Nanci Griffith, The Highwaymen, Joe Ely, and Lyle Lovett. Now, after 18 full-length albums and nearly 30 years in the business, Robert Earl Keen is still a folk rock sensation. Don't miss your chance to see him LIVE. Buy your Robert Earl Keen tickets now!
