Rob floated the stage and was very comf and at his best. voise was sharp, slow lovers pace. he swithced the usual tempo for much slower one. Grrrreat. I will see him/themevery time they comeback. worth the cost

By Leslie the Fan! from Raleigh, NC on 11/8/2006
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Encores, Great Lighting, Perfect Set List
Cons:
Poor Sound Quality
Best For:
Everyone

I have seen Rob Thomas 5 times. Four with Matchbox Twenty. He absolutly has the best voice of anyone today. He writes songs that are nothing like anyone elses and no two are alike. He is original and exciting. I will see him 100 more times if I can. The DAR Concert Hall in DC however, does not seem to be built for rock concerts.

Jewel was superb, as always. I overheard people that weren't that familiar with her (as crazy as that sounds) say they LOVED her! It was my first time seeing Rob Thomas, he was phenomenal. Songs were great, length of entire concert was perfect.

Rob Thomas at Chastain Park, Atlanta, GA
By Not Enough Rob Thomas for Jenn! from Atlanta, GA on 8/4/2006
Pros:
Engaging Stage Presence, Front Row, Center Stage, Great Sound, Rob Thomas was GREAT, Wanted to stand & DANCE
Cons:
Could not get near stage, Could not Stand & Dance, Crowd Was Not Into It, Had to stay seated, Terrible crowd

Rob Thomas was just great! My son and I went, he is just 11 yrs old. We had FRONT ROW SEATS!!!! We just love Rob Thomas! We got there and we thought we would be able to stand at the stage, or at least stand. Nope! First security said us and another couple could go to the stage when he arrived on stage. When another security guard took his place and Rob Thomas came on stage, the new security guard said NO. Go figure! Then we thought the audience would get off their bottoms to stand and/or dance! Nope! They just sat there with their alcohol, like couch potatoes! It was aweful! I wanted to dance sooo bad! How rude would it have been for me to stand in front of someone sitting down? So I stood up a few times. I don't like the laid back audience at Chastain. For goodness sakes Rob Thomas was there! Aren't you people excited?? I guess they brought too much food in their picnic baskets! They all were a bunch of fat turkeys after a morning breakfast. What a waste! You pay all that money to see Rob Thomas and you get drunk and eat too much and just sit there like a turkey! I will have to see Rob Thomas again, but at another venue! I will find one that doesn't allow picnic baskets or food catered! Thanks anyway for the FRONT ROW SEATS! My son and I definitely won't ever forget that concert.

Rob Thomas Concert Tickets

Though he rose to prominence as the lead singer of Matchbox Twenty, Rob Thomas has been a popular solo performer for well over a decade. His instantly recognizable vocal stylings, coupled with a commanding stage presence, make him a radio favorite and it's no wonder why Rob Thomas tickets remain popular items.

The pop music world was first introduced to Thomas when Matchbox Twenty burst on the scene in the last 1990s with hits like "3 A.M." and "Real World." However, it wasn't long before Thomas started to make a name for himself as a solo artist when he teamed up with Santana for the 1999 mega-hit "Smooth."

Encouraged by the success of his time with Santana, Thomas began to work on his debut solo album, ...Something to Be, which hit shelves in 2005. In true Thomas fashion, the album featured a number of popular tracks including "This Is How a Heart Breaks" and "Lonely No More."

Thomas put out a followup album in 2009, Cradlesong, which featured the tune "Her Diamonds," and once again proved Thomas still has it. While he has dedicated more time to Matchbox Twenty as of late, Thomas is still a popular solo performer, something which will likely be true for years to come.
