Rick Springfield rocked the crowd!
By Steven R from eastern Iowa on 8/11/2008
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Lighting, Great Sound
Best For:

My wife has luved RS for years and this was the best yet! Great sound, tight band, and great evening w/large crowd into Rick and band music. Biggest highlight was singing/moving thru the crowd. And yes, my wife got to "help" him navigate the bleachers by holding his hand as he went by our seats. She'll never wash that hand again! OPENING for Rick was the beautiful and rock'n Patty Smyth! WOW what an energy blast. I definitely want to catch a full show and dance with her soon. Thank you Patty and Rick.

Rick Springfield Concert Tickets

When you picture a 1980s crooner who had both the talent and the looks, Rick Springfield likely comes to mind. The musician, who combined pop and rock for a perfectly harmonious sound, stole the hearts of women everywhere, and luckily, these same fans can pick up Rick Springfield tickets to see their crush LIVE.

Springfield, born Richard Springthorpe, moved around as a child, mainly in Australia and England because of his father's position in the military. Due to the travel, Springfield had trouble making friends and turned to music as an outlet. He formed the group Zoot in 1968 while he was still in high school, and the band met huge success in his native Australia until Springfield left Zoot in 1971.

The newly-minted solo artist had his sights set on America and he made it to the charts at No. 14 with a re-release of his song, "Speak to the Sky," in 1972. However, the next few albums weren't met with such enthusiasm. Down on his luck, Springfield enrolled in acting classes in 1980 and shortly thereafter signed a contract with Universal Studios, giving him work on various soap operas. He got his big break in 1981 when he signed on to play Dr. Noah Drake on "General Hospital."

The gig not only helped him gain popularity among the ladies, it also boosted his musical career. Hits like "Jessie's Girl," "I've Done Everything for You" and "Don't Talk to Strangers," are still played today. Don't miss your chance to see Rick Springfield perform LIVE!
