Poliça Concert Tickets

Poliça, often written as Polica, is an American synthpop and alternative rock band from Minneapolis. Ryan Olson produces for the group, who perform live with a four-person roster consisting of Chris Bierden on bass and vocals, Drew Christopherson and Ben Ivascu on drums, and Channy Leaneagh as lead vocalist. The group became active in 2012 with the release of their debut album Give You the Ghost. They released their sophomore album, Shulamith on Oct. 20, 2013. Known for their interesting use of synthesizer rhythms and manipulation of Leaneagh’s voice, they’ve quickly become a hit in the indie music scene. After their performance at SXSW in 2012, NPR wrote that Polica’s live show was a “welcome jolt of beauty and power,” so Polica tickets make a great gift for any concert lover.

The band’s name is an homage to the Polish word for policy. Leaneagh has been reported as saying that she feels the name reflects the unwritten code felt by the members of the band when they perform together. She’s also attributed it to the work ethic that the group puts into the production and recording of their music. Polica has played with numerous noteworthy groups, including Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver.
