I saw the original Pippin on Broadway in the 1970's and this one compared favorably. The leads, Pippin, Fastrada, and Berthe were especially good. The set was beautiful and functional and added much to the show. The only negative was Mickey Dolenz whose acting was not up to the caliber of the other actors-lose him.
