Philadelphia Eagles Tickets

The Philadelphia Eagles are members of the Eastern Division of the NFC in the NFL. The team’s field is Lincoln Financial Field located in their hometown of Philadelphia. Established in 1933 after the Frankford Yellow Jackets went bankrupt halfway through the 1931 season, the Philadelphia Eagles didn’t explode on the scene because their first decade in the NFLwas plagued by a number of losing seasons. In the early years Philadelphia Eagles tickets were easy to come by.

During the 1940s manpower was short due to World War II and the Eagles were forced to temporarily merge with the Pittsburgh Steelers forming the Phil-Pitt Steagles. At the end of the 1943 season the team was once again split. By the end of the decade the team had made three consecutive Playoff appearances. The Philadelphia Eagles won two out of three in 1948 and 1949. They are the only team to have won successive championship games by shutout.

The 1970s ushered in the merger of the NFL and the AFL, putting the Eagles in the NFC East Division with their New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins rivals. The team struggled through most of the next two decades without much to show for their efforts. The Philadelphia Eagles qualified for six out of the nine seasons during the late 1980s to mid-1990s but it only resulted in one NFC East title. During the time, names like Randall Cunningham and Keith Jackson made up the offense and Reggie White, Jerome Brown, Seth Joyner and Byron Evans consisted of the defense. The Eagles have garnered many division championship wins and made several Playoff appearances, thought they have yet to clinch that coveted Super Bowl title.
